LCSW Supervision

In addition to providing counseling, I provide clinical supervision. I have taken and passed the NASW-NC Clinical Supervision Certificate Training earning 20 hours of supervision training. I have supervisory experience providing field placement supervision for MSW candidates from local universities.
Clinical supervision is an active process of learning . My goal is to focus on the supervisees' strengths to develop their therapeutic skills. Supervision is offered to individuals and group (no more than 4). Various methods to include case review, written narrative, role-playing, direct observation, etc. will be used to assess supervisees therapeutic relationship with their clients. Lastly, preparation for the licensing exam will be provided.
During supervision you will enhance your therapeutic skills and learn:
*How to "read" the presenting problem and develop your hypothesis
*Utilize the DSM 5 to assess and support appropriate diagnosis
*Develop an treatment plan
*Learn an eclectic approach to interventions and strategies based on theoretical orientation
*Assess and measure the effectiveness of your techniques
*Explore how your personal beliefs and values may be impacting your work
*Enhance self-care
